Third Healthy Lifestyles Recognition Gala
On June 1st, more than a hundred people dedicated to youth health got together in Sherbrooke to highlight actions that promote a physically active lifestyle or a healthy diet among youth ages 0-17 and their families.
This third edition of the Healthy Lifestyles Recognition Gala featured 17 finalist projects from all over the Estrie region that were innovative and exemplary. A video of each finalist project was shot in order to highlight its achievements. The videos are available at:
Three project finalists were from the Memphremagog MRC, one of which was a winner! In the category “Improving Quality of Life for Families”, the winner was the Bouchée Double Collective Kitchen for its parent-child dinner-preparation activity, which took place in two elementary schools: Saint-Jean-Bosco and Deux-Soleils. One of the finalists in the “Improving Accessibility” category is Sainte-Marguerite-Marie School, for its project titled “Healthy and Active at School.” Their video can be seen here:
Finally, one of the finalists in the “Social Commitment” category is Cardio Plein Air in Sherbrooke and Magog for developing the Active Challenge. Their video will provide more information:
The event organizers are proud of the success of this third edition and are pleased to see how committed people in the Estrie region are to promoting healthy lifestyles. We can’t wait until the next edition!
