Ten municipalities and organizations in the Memphremagog MRC are pleased to offer local residents a Community Toy Box that they can access in one of their area parks. The municipalities of Austin, Eastman, Magog, Saint-Étienne-de-Bolton, East Bolton, Potton Township, Stanstead Township and Stanstead, as well as Orford 3.0 and Ogden’s Weir Park Committee, are joining other municipalities in the Estrie region in offering families intergenerational game materials.
The toy boxes will be installed and available in the summer. They will include a winter kit and a summer kit, and the material will be made available to park visitors. The aim of the project is to encourage young people and their families to rediscover the joy of playing outdoors, to make use of existing parks, and to foster greater social cohesion. Everyone is invited to make proper use of the material, to comply with the rules, and to store the material after use.
Here’s a look at the games and toys you’ll find in parks this summer.
